When summer arrives in Sweden, winter starts here. The Maputo winters are normally as Swedish summers- and the best time of the year to ride!
Most expatriats travel back to Europe (around the world) and Maputo's road seem much more quiet. Planning a schedule for the term requires taking long weekends, school holidays and publi holidays in to consideration- people LOVE to travel here.
With extremly high salaries, houses paid for, schools (which is not a joke- the monthly cost for a good school is no less than $ 450- and goes over $1000), and yearly trips home, a lot of expatriats can afford to live a good life.
So, at Tsamadhi's Riding school we spend the mornings organizing weekly camps, and pm's with lessons. The number of lessons reduce drastically as to the expatriats traveling- which is our biggest clientelle, but then again, we spend many hours attending to the camps, so the work load ends up being almost more than during the school terms.
August has now arrived, and some schools have just finnished their short holidays, otherts their long one's. Others are still on leave..and ALL planning surrender these holidays- it's a pretty exciting job getting this to work!
Other than that I have spent watching the olympic equestrian on Youtube- can't thank the olympic enough for broadcasting it all - our sports channels are no big fans of horses...!
